Welcome to Eternally Minded!
This is so crazy. We actually have a blog! It's something Brooke and I have been talking and dreaming about since we were eight. No joke. And now it's happening!
So bear with us.
You know the saying, "A brunette and a blonde form an unbreakable bond"?
That's pretty much us.
She's blonde, I'm brunette. It's very obvious in our friendship.
Brooke and I have been friends for a long time. Like, as far back as I can remember :P
We both love music. While I tend to favor Cape Breton fiddle, pop, and inspirational, she's an avid lover of jazz, latin, and funk music (don't ask me why, I think she's weird). We both play violin, bass, and a tad of piano. Our families are both musically inclined. The combined talents of drums, multiple guitars, bass, a few keyboards, and a few violins, make impromptu jam sessions a blast. We love to play worship songs and hymns together.
Her love and desire for the Lord is relevant in both our friendship and her everyday life. She's really fun and outgoing. I'm convinced she has the ability to befriend anyone.
Me, not so much. If you were to ask for a sentence to describe me, it would be: I am a 16 year old, introverted voice of reason, striving to live and accomplish God's will in my everyday life.
In past summers, we've both had the privilege to work at Arrowhead Native Bible Center. It has done wonders for our friendship and our relationships with God. Through the burdens of getting through days at camp, the real sides of people is alarmingly relevant. However, some of our most growing experiences happened at camp, and we are so grateful for them.
Brooke and I are just beginning on this new step of our friendship with this blog. We are confident that we will grow through this new experience. Please be patient with us, as we are still learning. Your prayers are coveted! You will be in ours!
A verse to think about:
For thus says the High and Lofty One Who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: I dwell in the high and holy place, with him who has a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones. (Isaiah 57:15)
